अधिकारियों ने बताया कि सोमवार (19 अगस्त, 2024) को जम्मू-कश्मीर के उधमपुर जिले में एक गश्ती दल पर आतंकवादियों द्वारा की गई गोलीबारी में सीआरपीएफ के एक इंस्पेक्टर शहीद हो गए।The CRPF, along with the Special स्थानीय पुलिस के विशेष अभियान समूह (एसओजी) के सदस्य डुडु पोल के अंतर्गत स्थित सुदूर चिल क्षेत्र में लगभग साढ़े तीन बजे आतंकवादियों की गोलीबारी की चपेट में आ गए।

उन्होंने बताया कि केन्द्रीय रिजर्व पुलिस बल (सीआरपीएफ) के 187वीं बटालियन की जी कंपनी के इंस्पेक्टर कुलदीप को गोली लगी और बाद में अस्पताल ले जाते समय उनकी मौत हो गई।

इसमें कहा गया है, “चिल, डुडू में क्षेत्र प्रभुत्व गश्त के दौरान, आतंकवादियों और जेकेपी और सीआरपीएफ के संयुक्त दलों के बीच गोलीबारी हुई। मुठभेड़ में सीआरपीएफ के एक इंस्पेक्टर को गोली लगी और वह शहीद हो गए। ऑपरेशन जारी है।”

संयुक्त गश्ती दल की ओर से जोरदार जवाबी कार्रवाई के बाद आतंकवादी तुरंत इलाके से भाग गए। अधिकारियों ने बताया कि घटनास्थल पर अतिरिक्त सहायता भेजी गई है और आतंकवादियों का पता लगाने और उन्हें खत्म करने के लिए गहन तलाशी अभियान चलाया जा रहा है।

A CRPF Inspector was martyred in firing by terrorists on a patrol party in Jammu and Kashmir’s Udhampur district on Monday (August 19, 2024), officials said.The CRPF, along with the Special Operations Group (SOG) of the local police, came under fire from terrorists in the remote Chill area under Dudu Pole at around 3.30 pm.

Inspector Kuldeep of G Company of the 187th battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) was shot and later succumbed to his injuries while being shifted to a hospital, they said.

It said, “During area domination patrolling in Chill, Dudu, an exchange of fire took place between terrorists and joint parties of JKP and CRPF. In the encounter, an Inspector of CRPF sustained bullet injuries and was martyred. The operation is underway.”

The terrorists fled the area immediately after a strong retaliation from the joint patrol party. Additional reinforcements have been rushed to the spot and an intensive search operation is underway to trace and eliminate the terrorists, officials said.
